Congrats!

uneamericaine:

I am happy to report that I now have a piece of paper that allows me to stay in France until my Visa renewal appointment at the end of April!  I was really hoping not to have to fly back to the US as a newlywed (although I must express my deep admiration for miss Maggie who did just that).  Even though I have lived in France for almost a year now, it is the first time that I can truly say that I feel at home and in a couple months I will no longer be considered a visiteur.

In other news: I think my body finally collapsed once I got my paperwork straightened out and after an intense week and a half of entertaining family from the US, several days of wedding festivities, and post-wedding bureaucratic stress, I succumbed to extreme fatigue and a nasty fever last night.  I’m feeling better this morning, but I’m still going to take it easy for the next few days.
