Yeah, I’ve wondered the same thing. But I’ve rarely come across such an un-motley crew as this. The guy was very pleasant, and the dog and cats, well, they’re clearly very well tended and very comfortable with each other. I took a picture of another beggar with puppies in exactly the same place a year or two back. I wonder what happened to the dogs when they grew up. Will post it fyi.

Ok, this is very cute and clearly cats rule (obvs) but it brings to mind a question that I always have when passing “mendicants” on the street. How is it possible that they have such well-groomed and seemingly healthy animals (pets?) with them? IDGI. This isn’t a judgment, I just honestly want an explanation.
